I am Carli Klijn. I am not a creative genius. The empty walls are my canvas. I live and breath near Rotterdam. I take inspiration from talking to people and by just observing my surroundings. I learn how to master the painting-art from my friends by painting big TIFO banners for Feyenoord Rotterdam.
A few years ago I started painting with friends for my club Feyenoord. I also liked to paint in tunnels and near the Dutch highways. By painting those walls I immediately discoverd that I was more charmed by the streetart version of graffiti. The time you have on illegal spots simply wasn’t enough to make big pieces. That’s were I decided to start painting commissions. Not because of the money and exposure. Just because there was more time. More time to develop myself and the art I wanted to make.
